I'm so thankful to all of you for your support and encouragement over the past year. It's been a little over three months since I wrote my first email, introducing Zippora Madhukar Photography to my friends and family. I'm so encouraged to see how things have developed in the past few months, so thank you.

Wishing everyone a GREAT start to your new year...! I'm always very excited to see what a new year will bring, so let's see what happens this year! Have a good one!

Here are some pictures from this year's photographs. Hope you enjoy them.

Here are a few photos I've taken recently of Matt playing around at home with an umbrella... he was so fascinated by it all of a sudden! I lay down on the floor to try and get a better lighting on his face, and he tried imitating me for a couple of those shots and the pictures turned out pretty nice.... :)

These next few are from a while ago, when Matt's grandfather bought a few sparklers and stuff for Matt, so Timmy and I decided to go to our terrace and light them. Matt was a bit scared of them, but he had fun still. Looking around to the other terraces that Diwali night, I noticed the Indian flag colours spewed out from some 'fountain' firecrabkers from a neighbour's roof, and I thought, how apt it was to have those colours on a Diwali night. The picture turned out pretty dark, but you can see what I mean. Hope you enjoy these ones :)

Yay! My new business cards are ready! Thanks to Billy Yesudian for the design! Check out his website: http://billyyesudian.com/
The printing was done by Go Media.

I had displayed the cards at an exhibition of my friend's daughter's school where I took some photos of kids behind an indian prince and princess cutout...

Gitu

I was so excited last week to do a profile portrait photo shoot with my beautiful friend Gitu Sabu! It had been threatening to rain all day, but thankfully when the time came, the sun peeked out for a bit and we had really good weather. We managed to get some really good shots in spite of Gitu's paranoia of her 'feathered friends' that were clucking about around us! :)

The Shimrays

I thought I'd put up some pictures from a recent photo shoot that I had with the Shimray family, and specifically of their 3 month old baby, Benaiah. Hope you enjoy these!

Benaiah had just learnt to respond to the people around him and it was so exciting to see how he was starting to interact and laugh at his brother's antics or at smile at his mom and dad! The cute little hat belonged to the Shimray family - and its always nice to use some props that belong to the family, as this could have (maybe) some meaning for them when the kids grow up...

Their older boy, Josi, is such a little poser, and the whole family was a joy to photograph. Kids with parents from different ethnic backgrounds are so cute! And no - I'm not just saying that because I'm a third culture kid myself!

I hope you enjoy the pictures. :) Let me know if you'd like a family portrait... I will be offering some special 'Christmas themed' packages at the end of this month, so keep checking my blog for updates...

Hello there!

I thought it would be a good idea to have a more inter-active tool to show you all some of my photography, and to connect with people who also have the same interests as me :) I hope to show you my latest photo shoots and I hope you enjoy going through the photos on this blog.
